1. Renewal Window:

ORC 2923.125(F) of the Ohio Revised Code, provides for the renewal of a CCW license 90 days prior to it’s expiration. If the licensee fails to initiate the renewal process within the 120-day period, the CCW license will expire 30 days after the license expiration date and will no longer be valid. The licensee may still renew the license as long as they still have the license or the original training certificate. Appointments can be scheduled on our website: medinasheriff.com, Monday thru Thursday 8:00am-11:00am and 1:00pm-3:30pm and Friday 8:00am-11:00am and 1:00pm-2:30pm.

2. Licensee will need to complete a renewel application for License to Carry a Concealed Handgun and reread the pamphlet prepared by the Ohio Peace Officer Training Commission. If the licensee obtained the license in any other county than Medina, you must provide a 2"x2" passport size photo.
 
3. Licensee will need their Concealed Carry License, or competency certificate.
4. Licensee will need one of the following methods of payment for the NON-REFUNDABLE APPLICATION FEE:

                  1) personal check
                  2) money order
                  3) cashier's check
                  4) certified bank check
 
           in the following amounts made payable to the "Medina County Sheriff’s Office"

                  1)  $50.00 if Ohio Resident for 5 years or longer.

                  2)  $60.00 if Ohio resident less than 5 years.

                  3)  $15.00 for Lost or Stolen Permit.

                  WE WILL NOT ACCEPT CASH OR CREDIT CARDS


 

5. LICENSEE IS REQUIRED TO PROVIDE A SELF-ADDRESSED STAMPED ENVELOPE SO THE PERMIT CAN BE MAILED TO THEM.
