Welcome to the Corrections Component of the Medina County Sheriff’s Office. The Medina County Jail is a 256 bed full-service facility. Out of the 88 county jails in the State of Ohio, the Medina County Jail is 1 of only 6 that are accredited through the Bureau of Adult Detention. To maintain this accreditation, an inspector from the Bureau of Adult Detention performs a thorough inspection of the facility annually.

The Medical Department is also accredited through the National Commission of Correctional Health Care. An inspector from the National Commission of Correctional Health Care also performs an inspection every two years of the Medical Department.

Please note that the Medina County Sheriff’s Office is subject to the HIPPA laws. The medical professionals will abide by these laws. The officers do not have any knowledge of an inmates medical condition or the medical treatment they receive. |
