Welcome to the Corrections Component of the Medina County Sheriff’s Office. The Medina County Jail is a 256 bed full-service facility. Out of the 88 county jails in the State of Ohio, the Medina County Jail is 1 of only 6 that are accredited through the Bureau of Adult Detention. To maintain this accreditation, an inspector from the Bureau of Adult Detention performs a thorough inspection of the facility annually.

The Medical Department is also accredited through the National Commission of Correctional Health Care. An inspector from the National Commission of Correctional Health Care also performs an inspection every two years of the Medical Department.

To help assist you, we have included some basic information concerning the most frequently asked questions that we receive on a daily basis.

The inmate will then contact you and let you know when to arrive for visitation. Please do not call into the facility inquiring if you are scheduled to visit.
