Sheriff Hassinger is proud to present this new program for the children of Medina County. Eddie Eagle Gun Safe ® was developed by the NRA. This program does not promote or discourage fun ownership, nor does it promote the NRA. The program teaches children what to do if they find a gun. The officers of the Medina County Sheriff’s Office felt so strongly that children need to learn this message that they raised the funds themselves to purchase the Eddie Eagle costume.
STOP! Don’t Touch! Leave the area! Tell an adult!
The program can be broken down by age groups (preK-1st, 2nd & 3rd, 4th –6th) or done for large groups such as school assemblies. During the program an officer will introduce Eddie Eagle, show a video and review the information with the children. This program takes approximately one half hour to present. To schedule a presentation please contact our Crime Prevention Office at (330) 764-3618. |
