Neighborhood Watch is one of the most successful, effective and least costly ways to prevent crime and reduce fear in our communities. The program calls upon residents to step forward and assist law enforcement in organizing the community into a cohesive unit which works toward the goal of building a safe, crime free neighborhood. Watch groups discuss crime problems with the objective of developing solutions to local problems. Our officers can help you start your Neighborhood Watch group, provide crime prevention information and instruct your group in various crime prevention techniques.
For assistance in setting up a Neighborhood Watch group or for a speaker for your established group please call Sgt. Bev Fraser in our Crime Prevention Office at (330) 764-3618. |
